Die Künstlerbücher von Tauba Auerbach

Heute stelle ich euch die wunderbaren Künstlerbücher der jungen amerikanischen Künstlerin Tauba Auerbach (*1981, San Francisco) vor. In ihren Gemälden, Zeichnungen und Büchern untersucht Auerbach die Beziehung zwischen gesprochener und geschriebener Sprache, wobei sie ihren Fokus speziell auf jene Stellen legt, wo die Struktur zu brechen oder rutschen beginnt.

In Auerbachs messerscharfen Stil zeigt sich ihre Ausbildung als Schildermalerin. Ihre Arbeiten auf Holz und Papier sind ein erfrischender Ausflug in die Traditionen der Konzeptkunst und konkreten Poesie.
